My Private Classroom For Marketers

I am new to social media and have a question for those who have been using Facebook for marketing. Should my name, user name and profile all reflect my business and be directed to my target audience? Do I keep a separate personal profile for sharing w/ friends, etc? (It's not my plan to use it primarily for personal socializing but I'm sure there will be some). My user name is joan.sarin, but I'm wondering if that's the best way to go for business.. Thanks for your input!

Hi Joan!

Great question!

My answer would be...YOU are your business and your user name Joan.Sarin is PERFECT.

I don't have two separate accounts and find it to be best.

My friends know what I'm up to both personally and in business...

And my business partners/future business partners who can see who I am personally...;)

Make sense?

And I pay attention to things that irritate me and make sure not to do them...

Like when someone requests friendship on Facebook and their picture and or user name is that of the product they sell.

To me that's no different then approaching a stranger in the grocery store trying to give them information they haven't requested.

Social media sites are great for marketing your business if it's done correctly.

Fortunately...

YOU are in the right place here at My Private Classroom to learn HOW to market the correct way...;)

And if you want to add me as a friend on Facebook...here's my link:
